Like many Master Distillers, M. Gregory Pope continues a legacy started by his grandfather many years ago. Tucked away in the Ozark Mountains around Branson, Missouri, Greg’s grandfather began making small-batch spirits decades ago. He passed on his knowledge and passion to his grandson, giving birth to Missouri Ridge Distillery & Brewery, the area’s only grain-to-bottle distillery, and its first brewery. 

It’s the cool, quiet mornings when the fog rises from the trees to meet the mountains that Greg begins his batches of whiskey, moonshine, and other spirits. The deep limestone base of these hills creates some of the best water in the world. One of the key ingredients to the family recipes, the water has aided in creating distinct flavors and aromas, becoming known as the brand marker for Missouri Ridge Distillery. Missouri Ridge is achieving acclaim,  becoming Missouri’s most awarded distillery. The distillery was also featured in the episode “Whiskey Business” of the hit show “Moonshiners” on the Discovery channel.
